It is well documented that Islam has not only served as the intellectual bridge between the philosophers and scientists of ancient Greece and other parts of the world on the one hand and Western enlightenment on the other, but that it also established many of the foundations in sciences such as mathematics, astronomy, architecture, chemistry, medicine, politics, history, psychology and many others.
