Prospects for a Two-State Solution

About
High-level policy discussion · European Parliament, Brussels Wednesday 2 December 2026 · 15:30 – 17:30 · Room 1G3
The Brussels International Center, together with the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats and the Greens/EFA in the European Parliament, will host a high-level policy discussion on the future of the Middle East peace process and the prospects for a two-state solution.
The discussion comes as the political horizon is being redrawn. Long-standing diplomatic frameworks face growing strain, and the region’s political dynamics are shifting. The session will look at where the peace process stands today, what international and regional actors can do to revive it, and what role Europe can play in moving from crisis management towards a credible political path.
The event will bring together high-level diplomatic and political representation from Palestine and the European Union. The discussion will receive European and international media coverage.
Discussion Questions The discussion will start from one central question: what could make a credible political horizon possible? From there, speakers will consider whether the two-state solution is still achievable and under what conditions, how regional and international actors can work together to revive the peace process, and what role the European Union and the European Parliament can play in the next phase.
Registration is required. The registration link will be published soon!
