Dubai, 03 December 2023 – The Brussels International Center is attending the COP28 held in the United Arab Emirates. The event marked a pivotal moment in the global fight against climate change, with the COP Presidency making significant announcements that underscore the urgency of collective action.

The Brussels International Center, under the leadership of Ambassador Otte, former EU Special Representative for the Middle East Peace Process, is spearheading a campaign calling for an immediate and lasting ceasefire across Gaza, the West Bank, and Israel.

BRUSSELS, [17/11/2023] – The Brussels International Center (BIC), under the leadership of  Amb. Marc Otte, BIC President and Former EU Representative for the Middle East Peace Process, is launching a campaign for a ceasefire in Gaza, in collaboration with Members of the European Parliament. This initiative comes at a crucial time, marked by an unprecedented number of civilian casualties and widespread infrastructure destruction in the Gaza strip. 

On the evening of October 17, a tragic incident unfolded when a catastrophic explosion rocked a hospital in Gaza City, resulting in the loss of lives, with the majority being civilians. Gaza's health ministry swiftly attributed this calamity to an Israeli airstrike, while Israeli authorities contended that the explosion might have been caused by inadvertent rocket fire from Palestinian militant groups.
